Tuesday, 08 November 2011 11:56

The event was held on the 2nd of November 2011 in order to present the changes of the legislative background in simplified customs declaration, and give updated information to the participants about the status of IT implementation of EBEJ. The Infoday had two main speakers from NCTA, Attila Barcza from NCTA IT department, and Attila Fekete, head of unit.

Regens Plc was invited to give a presentation about its new development of EBEJ as a part of Regens customs solutions.

Due to the professional presentations all participant gained detailed insight into the changes regarding EBEJ and its 2012 implementation. The infoday helped the participants to be more prepared to implement the changes in their customs procedures.

The Infoday also intended to present the interconnection of supplementary declaration and the CDPS-ARUREG systems (both are electronic customs automation systems) which was implemented in October 2011. The Customs Auhority received several complaints from organisations using this new feature therefore some corrective actions will be made in the future. The customs officers proposed to switch off the „MRN outdates” in the system which could lead to more smooth operation. However, it was also stated that the recent operation will be useful for later monitoring and controlling activities.
